Arnold Woman Biking Cross-Country to Volunteer Needs Your Support

An Arnold woman will trek the U.S. starting June 17 and she needs a little help from the community.

Hedwig Vinson, 24, of Arnold plans to ride a bike 3,770 miles from Portsmouth, N.H., Vancouver, British Columbia. The excursion will end on Aug. 25.

Vinson and the rest of her group will stop at about 10 cities to help build housing for people in need.

The trip is through Bike & Build, a nonprofit organization that raises money to provide affordable housing for low-income families.

Hedwig has to raise $4,500 to take part in the trip, and will hold a yard sale to do so. Stop by 2118 Richardson Road, from  8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
