Tuesday, April 2 A 57-year-old Bonne Terre man was arrested DWI after a traffic stop at Interstate 55 and Church Road. He had a blood alcohol content of .123 percent. He was booked, processed and later released to a sober driver. Wednesday, April 3 An officer on traffic stop at Interstate 55 and Highway 141 arrested a 20-year-old St. Louis man after he was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Monday, April 1 Officers investigating a suspicious person at 3700 Jeffco Blvd. found an 18-year-old Arnold man who was uncooperative and refused to provide his identity. His identity was eventually obtained, and he was released at the scene on a summons. Tuesday, April 2 Police responded to the Starling Community regarding three brothers involved in a physical disturbance with each other. All three sustained injuries during the confrontation. A 22-year-old Cedar Hill man, a 33-year-old Arnold man and a 27-year-old Arnold man were arrested and issued summonses. The 27-year-old was booked and held for 12 hours. The homeowner, who was in the garage, heard a noise and walked to the front of the house. That's when she saw another woman walk into her house through the front door.
An Arnold woman investigating a noise she heard outside of her home saw a stranger walk into her house through the front door. The incident happened around 8 p.m. on April 1 in the 100 block of Lamp Post Lane. The homeowner was in her garage at the time, said Maj. Nick McBroom, of the Arnold Police Department. After hearing the noise, she walked to the front of her house and saw another woman walking in. She fled to a neighbor's house and called police. Officers found the 39-year-old Arnold woman inside the residence, McBroom said. She was taken into custody without incident, booked and processed. The tenant dropped the knife, and the manager was able to subdue him in a choke-hold until Arnold police arrived.
A tenant at Value Place lunged at a manager with a knife while he was standing in the doorway of the man's room April 2. The manager was attempting to evict the 33-year-old St. Louis man, said Maj. Nick McBroom, of the Arnold Police Department. The man became upset and belligerent and slammed the door in the manager's face. The manager knocked on the door again, McBroom said. The man opened the door, grabbed a knife off the counter and lunged toward the manager. The man dropped the knife, and the manager grabbed him, holding him in a choke-hold until police arrived, McBroom said. Officers arrested the man for second-degree assault. He was booked and later released pending application for warrants.

Two cars and a home in Arnold were recently hit with paint-filled balloons, causing about $10,000 in property damage.
Arnold police are investigating two incidents where paint-filled balloons were thrown at two cars and a home in Arnold, causing about $10,000 in property damage. One victim reported that the balloons struck her 2000 Dodge Dakota and 2011 Chevrolet Cruze sometime between 11:30 p.m. on March 29 and 9:30 a.m. on March 30. Another victim told police that someone struck his/her home in the 3000 block of Ems Glen Ln. with the balloons between 12 p.m. on March 19 and 10:30 a.m. on March 30. Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call the Arnold Detective Bureau at 636-282-2384.

Tuesday, March 27 A 20-year-old Arnold man was arrested after he was detained by store security at Kohl's at 2150 Michigan Ave. for shoplifting. A 19-year-old Imperial man who was waiting for the Arnold man in a car was also arrested for an outstanding warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia. Following booking, the Arnold man was released on a summons, and the Imperial man was released on bond and a summons. Wednesday, March 28 An officer on a suspicious vehicle call at Walmart at 2201 Michigan Ave. arrested a 32-year-old Pevely woman for outstanding warrants from St. Louis City. Arnold police are investigating a road rage incident in which a female driver opened a woman's car door and threw her recently purchased groceries on the street. On Saturday, March 30 a green Nissan Xterra allegedly pulled in front of the woman's car, cutting her off on Jeffco Boulevard, said Maj. Nick McBroom. The two drivers stopped, and the owner of the Xterra reportedly got out of her vehicle and began to physically strike the woman's car. The woman then followed the Xterra on Highway 141 to get a license plate number, and the two vehicles stopped again, McBroom said. Monday, March 25 A woman told police that another woman took her bottle of Tide laundry detergent valued at $10 while she was loading/unloading laundry at a business off Jeffco Boulevard. Tuesday, March 26 Wednesday, March 27 Friday, March 29 Saturday, March 30 Sunday, March 31 Officers responded to Value Place at 888 Arnold Commons to check the welfare of a person. They arrested a 38-year-old Maplewood woman after she pushed an officer and then resisted the arrest. She was also wanted by Maplewood police on an assault charge. A vocal opponent of Ward 1 Councilwoman Doris Borgelt said he witnessed her harrassing a group of campaigners outside of an Arnold polling place on Tuesday. Mike Evans, an Arnold resident who has publicly shared his criticism of Borgelt, said a group of teens held signs opposing Borgelt outside the polling place at the Fox C-6 Service Center on Jeffco Boulevard. Evans said he saw Borgelt pull several of her campaign signs out of the ground before running up to the group, shaking her signs and yelling.
