Arnold voters go to the polls Tuesday to elect a new mayor and four city council members. Voters in the Fox School District will be deciding on candidates to fill two seats on the district's Board of Education. And, there is a decision to make on a bond issue for the Rock Community Fire Protection District. Rock Community Fire District Asking for $10 Million Bond Issue

Money from the April 2013 bond issue would be used to refinance existing debt, build a new firehouse and pay for two new firetrucks and equipment.

Voters heading to the polls in April will be deciding on a $10 million bond issue for the Rock Community Fire Protection District. If approved, it would cost taxpayers between 9 and 10 cents per $100 of assessed valuation. On a $100,000 home, it would mean an additional $18 a year. On a $1 million commercial building, it would cost an extra $304 a year. "It's the first bond issue we've ever asked for," said Chief Jim Allred. "It's strictly for capital improvement projects." About $6 million of the bond issue would be used to refinance existing debt for previous building projects, Allred said. In 2005, voters approved a 1/2-cent sales tax for the district and lowered property taxes by 22.5 cents per $100 of assessed valuation. Voters to Decide on Tax Increase for Rock Community Fire District

The district is seeking a $10 million bond issue on the April ballot that could cost taxpayers up to 10 cents per $100 of assessed valuation, according to the "Arnold-Imperial Leader."

Voters in the Rock Community Fire Protection District will be deciding on a $10 million bond issue that would end up costing taxpayers between 9 and 10 cents per $100 of assessed valuation. The money would be used to fund improvements to Fire House No. 1 off Jeffco Boulevard in Arnold, to buy new equipment and to refinance existing debt, according to a Jan. 17 article in the Arnold-Imperial Leader. The proposition would need approval by a four-sevenths majority vote to pass. Preliminary plans call for about $6 million of the bond issue to refinance existing debt, reports the weekly newspaper. Fox School District Passes $18.5 Bond Issue: Now What?

The district hasn't asked the voters for funding in ten years. What will they do with it?

According to unofficial election results, the Fox School District's $18.5 million dollar bond issue passed Tuesday night with 67 percent of the voters in favor of the bond. The bond issue will allow the district to buy technology equipment, repair and improve school buildings, buy furniture, purchase school buses and convert existing athletic facilities into multipurpose facilities. Fox Bond Issue Passes

Unofficial results are in from the county clerk's office in Jefferson County, with 100 percent of the precincts counted.

The Fox School District's $18.5 million dollar bond issue looks to have passed tonight with 67 percent of the voters in favor of the bond. The bond issue would allow the district to buy technology equipment, repair and improve school buildings, buy furniture, purchase school buses and convert existing athletic facilities into multipurpose facilities. The Fox School District Wants Your Vote for $18.5 Million Bond

The school board is asking the community for funds to repair 30 year old buildings, improve the school's computer network and buy school buses.

The Fox School District has placed a $18,500,000 no tax increase bond issue on today’s ballot. If passed, the bond issue would allow the district to buy technology equipment, repair and improve school buildings, buy furniture, purchase school buses and convert existing athletic facilities into multipurpose facilities.
