BYOB Policy at Pomme Creek Golf Course Under Review After Cart, Green Damage
Alcohol currently may be brought on site but only during special events.
Damage to greens and golf carts at Pomme Creek Golf Course prompted Arnold city officials to consider a ban on the course’s alcohol consumption policy during special events. Susie Boone, the city’s parks and recreation director, requested the city attorney investigate the matter. Currently golfers may bring alcohol to the course during outings and special events. The BYOB policy is not permitted during general or league play although beer is sold at the course. “There was one instance in which there was a couple thousand dollars in damages during an outing, and we suspect alcohol may have had a hand in it,” Boone said. “When people start damaging property, it’s time to revisit the policy.” Boone said that Pomme Creek is the only course …
