Cazadores Mexican Restaurant in Arnold Commons Closed

The owners of the property have filed a lawsuit against the business for non-payment of rent.

Cazadores Mexican Restaurant at 893 Arnold Commons Dr. is closed. However, the only notice you'll see of the closure is a bright yellow 8 1/2 by 11-inch sheet of paper on the front door and a notice from the Jefferson County posted on a window. The restaurant's doors have been shuttered because of owners of the Arnold Commons development, THF Realty, have filed a petition against it for non-payment of rent. The Jefferson County Circuit Court has approved a judgment for THF Reality in the amount of slightly more than $40,000, which includes a levy and seizure of the property and its contents. We were disappointed to find the doors shut and went to Las Fuentes - food was awful - watered down cheese dip, rude staff, and just dark ugly atmosphere :( I heard the same people own La Pachanga on Vogel so I guess we'll try there next.   more ›

Sonic Drive-in on Richardson Road Closed

Sonic fans now will have to drive out to Fenton in Gravois Bluffs to seek out their favorite foods and the restaurant's iconic carhop service.

If you were hoping to indulge in a curbside coney dog and a cherry Coke from the Sonic Drive-in in Arnold, you've missed your chance.  The Richardson Road location closed in late December. According to the company's website, the closest Sonic to Arnold is now in Fenton's Gravois Bluffs. The next closest Sonic is in Kirkwood.  What will you miss most about the restaurant with the "big red button?" Tell us in comments!

With news of Doris and her alleged bullying of businesses why would you want to open a business in Arnold???? Sorry to see Sonic go but it could be a franchise who ran in to money issues or maybe someone just bought them out and something else could be going in there on the property. Reminder: Arnold City Hall Closed Monday, Friday

Arnold City Hall will be closed to observe Christmas Day and New Year's Eve this week.

Arnold City Hall will only be open for three days, Tuesday through Thursday, for the week beginning on Dec. 26. Residents needing to pay bills or complete business at City Hall, at 2101 Jeffco Blvd., prior to the end of the year should plan talk with municipal employees during the middle of the week. Arnold City Hall will be closed to observe national holidays that occur on the weekends. Since Christmas is on Sunday, City Hall will be closed on Monday, Dec., 26. And since New Year's Eve is on Saturday, the building will close on Friday, Dec. 30, at noon.     Editor's note: An earlier version of this article incorrectly reported that Arnold City Hall would be closed all day Friday. The writer erred.

Arnold Recreation Center Closed until Saturday

A sign on the building states the recenter is closed due to annual maintenance operations.

The Arnold Recreation Center, at 1695 Missouri State Road, is closed for the remainder of the week. Signs taped to the doors said the building closure is needed for annual maintenance operations. The rec center will re-open on Saturday at 7 a.m.  "Our goal is to provide a properly maintained facility with a minimum of guest interruption in services," the City of Arnold website stated about the closure.
