Nanny Suspected of Stealing Gun, Money From Children's Piggy Banks

The Arnold couple hired the woman from Craigslist. After only two days of work, they noticed a gun and about $80 in cash were missing from their home.

A nanny is suspected of stealing a gun and money from children's piggy banks, according an Arnold couple who hired the woman from Craigslist. Officers from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department responded to a call regarding a theft on Mill Ridge Drive in Arnold on Nov. 5 in which a Heritage six-shot revolver/Rogh Rider 22-caliber Magnum combo and about $80 in cash were reported stolen. The victim told police he hired the nanny through Craigslist on Friday, Nov. 2, and that he and his wife noticed about $20 in cash missing from the residence. The man said he then confronted the nanny, who denied the accusation. The man told police the nanny showed up for work on Monday, Nov. 5 and when he returned home from work, she ran through the …

Craigslist Thief Drives Off With Arnold Man's Motorcycle

Police say a potential buyer visited the man's house, took the bike for test drive and never returned.

A resident on Edgemont Drive in Arnold reported to police that a person claiming to be interested in buying his motorcycle stole it. The man had advertised his 2004 Honda CBR 1000 on Craigslist. He told Arnold police that on Oct. 29, a potential buyer visited his house, took the motorcycle on a test drive and never came back. Police entered the motorcycle as stolen. It was valued at $8,000.
