A Barnhart woman and man face criminal charges after police say they found them with more than 500 prescription pills during a traffic stop in Arnold. Rachel Keeling, 22, and William Gray, 23, both of the 1900 block of Birchwood Drive, face multiple charges stemming from incidents dating back to November 2012, according to court documents. In the documents, a Jefferson County Sheriff's Department deputy wrote that Keeling and Gray were discovered with more than 500 prescription pills during a traffic stop on November 29, 2012. The different medication was hidden in a backpack and lockbox in the backseat, but a canine sniffed out the vehicle, according to the documents. An Imperial man faces criminal charges after police say he pulled a gun on another man who was having an affair with his wife. Raymond Harris, 44, of the 2700 block of Spring Forest Road, has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon and third-degree assault, according to a court document. The incident dates back to March 10. In the court document, a Jefferson County Sheriff's Department deputy wrote that Harris arrived to the 1200 block of State Road M in an attempt to fight with another man over the extramarital affair. Several people attempted to prevent the fight, which led Harris to punch one of them, the deputy wrote. He then pulled out a handgun and threatened to kill the man who was having the affair. A 20-year-old Arnold man is facing criminal charges after police say they found a two-foot tall marijuana plant in his bathroom. Joseph Jones, of the 1100 block of Missouri State Road, is charged with producing a controlled substance, which is a class B felony. A Jefferson County Sheriff's Department deputy said the marijuana plant was discovered during a search on Dec. 1, 2012, according to a court document. The deputy also found numerous smoking devices and a bag of marijuana, the document notes. The deputy had been investigating the area for a "suspicious odor" when the officer noticed multiple smoking devices that were visible through the home's window. The two missing firearms were valued at $750.
Two firearms were reported stolen as part of a burglary in Imperial last week. The incident occurred between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 12 on Frisco Hill Road, according to a Jefferson County Sheriff's Department report. Someone stole a North American Arms Guardian .380 pistol valued at $450 and a .38 Smith & Wesson Special revolver valued at $300. The unknown burglar(s) broke into a metal barn with an attached living area to steal the handguns, the report notes. One was stolen from the kitchen table while the other was taken from the bedroom. An Imperial man faces his fourth DWI charge after a Missouri State Highway Patrol officer found the man's crashed car on the side of Old Antonia Road. Scott Alan Draper, 41, of the 2100 block of Devonshire Drive, was charged on April 22 with driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license and resisting arrest. The charges stem from an incident around 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 20. Police arrived to Old Antonia Road for a vehicle accident. The driver wasn't present, so an officer ran a check on the vehicle to identify the owner. The car belonged to Draper, who lived near the accident, according to a court document. An Arnold man faces a second-degree domestic assault charge after police said he struck his girlfriend multiple times at their home. Jefferson County Sheriff's Department officers say that Randall McNail Jr., 33, of the 1400 block of Brookshire Drive, attacked a victim with whom he was intimately involved on April 8, according to a court document. The victim stated that McNail "struck her multiple times, bit her and restricted her airway by wrapping his hands around her throat and squeezing," noted a Jefferson County officer in the court document.
