An Imperial mom hosted a party to celebrate her 6-year-old son's birthday, which resulted in a loss of several pieces of valued jewelry from an upstairs bedroom.
More than $4,300 in jewelry was reported stolen after a 6-year-old child's birthday party in Imperial. The party took place Oct. 28 on Wayles Drive. The child's mother told Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies she had invited numerous family members and a few friends to her home to celebrate her son's birthday on Oct. 28. On Nov. 18, the child's mother noticed several pieces of jewelry missing from her jewelry box in an upstairs bedroom. She told police that most in attendance were close family, except for her brother's former girlfriend who brought her nephew and her brother's current girlfriend. She recalled both playing with the children upstairs. Police are continuing their investigation.
