Arnold Police Chief Urges Council Members to Complete NIMS Training
Federal emergency preparedness certification is recommended for all elected officials.
Arnold Police Chief Robert Shockey reminded council members of the importance completing their National Incident Management System (NIMS) training. The Department of Homeland Security published NIMS in 2004 to provide plans to federal, state and local governments for working with private business to prevent, respond and recover from incidents. The system, which was updated in 2007, offers advice for daily occurrences and scenarios requiring federal assistance. Various levels of training are needed for numerous emergency management disciplines. I was removed from one council meeting(if you really want to call it that, seemed more like a circus act to me).... As for threatening to sue the city, no threats were ever made. Nothing was started until after the Mayor was caught in a lie (I have video proof of this between a video I outsourced at a meeting, and a news clip with interviews from Channel 4) .
