Representative Ann Wagner Sworn In With 113th Congress

The Republican from St. Louis County represents Missouri's new Second Congressional District, which includes Arnold.

Ballwin native Ann Wagner took the oath of office in the United States House of Representatives Thursday, as the 113th session of Congress was seated. Wagner, the new representative for Missouri's Second District, succeeds Representative Todd Akin, and along with William "Lacy" Clay in the First District, absorbs the former Third District represented until Thursday by Russ Carnahan. Wagner, the former co-chair of the Republican National Committee and an Ambassador to Luxembourg, defeated Democrat Glenn Koenen in November. Wagner will serve on the House Committee on Financial Services, and was also elected to serve as a member of the GOP Leadership by her fellow Republican freshmen. Letter to the Editor: 19-Year-Old Endorses Jotte for Congress

Dr. Randy Jotte is running against Republican Ann Wagner in the Second Congressional District primary.

Dear Neighbor, I am writing to you today about our upcoming congressional primary election.  I'm 19 years old and I live in Arnold. Working in a local fast food restaurant trying to save up enough money to pay for my college education, I can honestly say I completely understand what the average American is going through in these tough economic times. I am truly grateful for my two loving parents who constantly work hard and sacrifice so much, as do many other parents. I think we are all on the same page here. Our country is going through some rough times. We are all tired of what we see going on everyday throughout our country. Third GOP Congressional Candidate Appears

Randy Jotte, of Webster Groves and an emergency room doctor, says the nation must "get off the merry-go-round" to solve problems.

Randy Jotte, an emergency room doctor at Barnes Jewish Hospital, has officially announced plans to run for the Republican nomination in the race for the second congressional district. Jotte, who is also an associate professor of Emergency Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine, made the announcement during a news conference this morning at the St. Louis Carousel at Faust Park, in Chesterfield. "The Washington, D.C. politicians are taking us around and around, going nowhere," Jotte said, and gesturing toward the historic carousel behind him. "Our country is suffering. Randy Jotte to Vie for Second Congressional Seat

Jotte, of Webster Groves, plans to make an official announcement of his run for the Republican nomination at a news conference Tuesday in Chesterfield.

Webster Groves native Randy Jotte is throwing his hat in the ring for the Republican nomination in Missouri's newly redrawn second congressional district.  He plans to officially announce his candidacy in a news conference Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 9:30 a.m. at the St. Louis Carousel at Faust Park, which is located at 15189 Olive Blvd. in Chesterfield. Jotte joins former RNC Co-Chair Ann Wagner and Attorney Ed Martin, both of whom have been in the race for months. The seat is being left vacant by U.S. Rep. Todd Akin, who is running for the U.S. Senate. Jotte, a 1978 graduate of De Smet, is an emergency physician at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and an associate professor of Emergency Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine. He served as a …
