Pole Position Raceway, slated to open this spring, is offering holiday gift certificates for pre-opening activities.
While an indoor go-kart track on Watson Road remains under construction, they have a holiday treat for prospective customers: a limited run of gift certificates. Pole Position Raceway is currently constructing a 56,000-square-foot go-kart facility in the former Value City department store. Their battery-operated go-karts, fit for youth and adult riders, can travel up to 45 miles per hour. The track is expected to open in spring 2013. Roughly 200 $25 gift certificates are currently available for purchase for the holidays, owner Mike Johnson said in an email. They're being sold for $20 each while supplies last, with a limit of five per customer. These customers will also have the opportunity to participate in pre-opening activities, he said…

Crestwood police confident they have all suspects involved at the Kohl's parking lot robbery.
Crestwood police officers, in St. Louis County, have identified three suspects in connection with armed robberies in Mehlville, Crestwood and Shrewsbury. Police believe the suspects in custody are responsible for the May 12 armed robbery in Kohl's parking lot. The investigation is in conjunction with Shrewsbury and St. Louis County Police, who have had similar incidents—one at the Mackenzie Pointe Dierbergs and one at the Mehlville Kmart. Police said a woman was retrieving something from her car on the Kmart parking lot, 3901 Lemay Ferry Road, on May 11 when the suspects displayed a semi-automatic handgun and stole her purse. St. Louis County Prosecutors charged 17-year-old Markele Prince with armed robbery and criminal action Thursday. …

The victim was robbed at gunpoint in a nearby St. Louis County shopping mall on Friday.
St. Louis County Police provided photos of four robbery suspects that may have robbed a woman at gunpoint on Friday morning at the Kmart on Lemay Ferry Road. One suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, approximately 5 feet, 9 inches tall with short hair and eyeglasses. The other three are described as black males in their late teens or early 20s. Police said the 37-year-old woman was retrieving something from the backseat of her car when the suspects stole her purse and displayed a semi-automatic handgun. The suspects were last seen traveling south on Lemay Ferry Road in a green, early 2000s Chevrolet Impala with a sunroof and spoiler. The men also are suspected in robberies in North County, Crestwood and Shrewsbury, police said…
