Get Up and Glow for Night Time Disc Golf
Festus' Jokerst Park will host golf-by-glowsticks for the local club's fourth annual recreational event on Saturday night.
The perk is you’ll always see your disc. The trade-off is you won’t see much else. The Jefferson County disc golf club, the Sharpshooters, is hosting its Night Flight event at Jokerst Park on Saturday. The after-hours evening of disc golf features two rounds amongst the (otherwise) scenic nine-hole course in Festus, using glowsticks to designate important landmarks – as well as the discs. “The Night Flight is a recreational event designed to give players the opportunity to play disc golf at night,” said Sharpshooters president Joe McKee. “We supply glow-in-the-dark discs and food, and the course will be lit up with glow sticks on the tee pads, and LED rings on the baskets.
