A 76-year-old man with Alzheimer’s has been reported missing in Imperial. Dionisio Vurgos, of Puerto Rico, was last seen this morning near Highway 21 and Rock Creek Road around 9:30 a.m., according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. He was last seen wearing yellow shorts, sneakers and may or may not have had a shirt on. Vurgos is visiting family in the 3800 block of Mystic Valley Dr. in Imperial, sheriff's deputies say. Tuesday, April 23 A flatscreen 32-inch television and a Compaq Presario laptop computer were reported stolen in a Burglary on Chippendale Lane in Imperial. The items were valued at $900. It is unknown how entry was made into the house. Deputies are continuing to investigate.

Wednesday, April 3 A man who lives on Brook Ridge Drive in Arnold discovered when he arrived home that his girlfriend had packed up all her belongings and left the residence. Upon further observation, he told deputies he realized his handgun was missing along with one magazine. Thursday, April 4 A diamond ring set and a gold chain was reported stolen from a home on Old State Route 21 in Barnhart. The homeowner told sheriff's deputies that she noticed the jewelry missing after she had a company representative at her home for an installation appointment. The company representative told police he could not provide any information without a search warrant. The jewelry was valued at $850.

About $17,300 in jewelry was stolen from a jewelry cabinet in the home on East Swaller Road.
Two people have been arrested in connection with a burglary on East Swaller Road in Imperial. The victim came home and saw her front door window broken with glass laying on the carpet on April 1, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department. That's when she discovered that $17,300 in jewelry had been stolen from her jewelry cabinet. At the scene, a sheriff's deputy took two latent finger print cards, a memory card containing digital images and two swabs from a dried red color substance. After investigating, the deputy was able to find and arrest the two people responsible.

A three-car crash in Imperial sent two drivers to the hospital, one with injuries described as moderate. The accident occurred around 11:52 a.m. Thursday when Audrey Sohn, 80, of Imperial, who travelling eastbound on Highway 61 at Imperial Main Street, turned her 2008 Ford Focus into the path of a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo driven by Sierra Evans, 24, also of Imperial, according to a crash report by the Missouri state Highway Patrol (MSHP). The force of the crash sent Evans' vehicle into a 2011 Ford Focus driven by Clarice Kroeck, 73, of Arnold. Sohn's vehicle then struck Kroeck's vehicle, according to the MSHP report. Monday, Feb. 25 A black 2007 Honda Accord was reported stolen from a driveway on Lombard Lane in Imperial between midnight and 6 a.m. The owner told police that he had a spare set of keys to the Honda in another vehicle in his driveway, and that those keys were missing from that vehicle. Police received another call from a resident on Lombard Lane about a Velociraptor scanner stolen from a man's locked work truck. The victim told police the scanner belonged to his employer. While conducting an area canvass, the officer ran into two other residents who had items stolen from their vehicles. A shot was fired into an Imperial home that traveled through the resident's bedroom window while he slept. The incident occurred in the 5400 block of Old Lemay Ferry Rd. late Sunday or early Monday morning. No one was injured. According to Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies, the bullet traveled through the window, over the bed of the sleeping homeowner, through the bathroom door and became lodged in the wall. "He didn't even hear the shot," said Capt. Ron Arnhart, of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department. "He noticed the bullet hole and damage when he woke up in the morning." Bradley W. Sutton allegedly entered a Fenton home where he was confronted by the homeowner. He then fled the scene and purportedly broke into a nearby home and stole jewelry.
A 20-year-old Imperial man is facing charges in connection with two home burglaries in Fenton. Bradley W. Sutton, of the 3500 block Kreienheder Dr., has been charged with first- and second- degree burglary by the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. Bond has been set at $75,000 cash only. On Jan. 15, Sutton entered an occupied home through an unlocked door in the 1100 block of Konert Valley Dr., according to court documents. After being confronted by the homeowner, he fled the scene. Sutton then entered a second home on the street by breaking out a back window, the documents state.
