The St. Louis County Police Highway Safety Unit and officers from the Division of Patrol will be conducting the checkpoints.
The St. Louis County Police Highway Safety Unit and officers from the Division of Patrol will be conducting sobriety checkpoints throughout the month of May, according to a news release from the St. Louis County Police Department. Specially trained officers will be checking motorists in an effort to reduce the number of intoxicated drivers on our streets and highways. Inconvenience to motorists will be minimal. The officers participating in the enforcement have had additional training in the recognition of motorists who have had too much to drink or are under the influence of illegal drugs. There's no limit to the amount of paper you can bring to shred at six locations throughout St. Louis and Jefferson County on May 4.
Take advantage of Anheuser-Busch Employees' Credit Union/American Eagle Credit Union's free shred events to clean out your file cabinets. This service allows residents to safely dispose of sensitive documents with personal information. Documents will be destroyed on-site by a qualified shredding service, according to a news release from the credit union. There is no limit on the amount of documents you can bring for disposal, but paper must be free of metal clips and paperclips. A former Richmond Heights man is on St. Louis County's Most Wanted list.
Officers for the St. Louis County Police Department website update the Most Wanted list as fugitives are apprehended. The list currently includes suspects wanted for child abuse, statutory sodomy, unlawful uses of weapons, burglary, attempted child enticement, robbery, child kidnapping, stealing, forgery, statutory rape and domestic assault. Among current suspects is Pengfei Hua, whose photo accompanies this article. He is wanted for resisting arrest and assaulting three police officers, which resulted in injuring one of them.
