Sheri Gassaway

About Sheri

Sheri took over as editor of Arnold Patch in October 2012. She also serves as editor of Mehlville-Oakville Patch - she took on that role in April 2013.

From August 2011 until October 2012, she served as editor of Webster Groves Patch. She began her career with the company as a freelance writer in September 2010 and was hired as an associate editor in February 2011.

Sheri has more than 18 years of experience covering local news. She's written hundreds of stories for Patch, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and the Suburban Journals, mainly focusing on local government and education news, features and events.

She also worked as a general assignment reporter/weekend weather anchor at WHBF-TV (Ch. 4) in Rock Island, IL, and created and launched a cable news station for the City of Black Jack, MO.

Additionally, her background includes experience in public relations, event marketing and advertising sales. She has served on a number of local chamber of commerce boards and committees.

In her very limited spare time, Sheri enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, cooking, reading, crossword puzzles, live music and the arts. She lives in Arnold with her two mini black-and-tan dachshunds, Frazier and Daphne, and her cat Niles.
