Crime: Couple Steals from Walmart, Man Crashes into Schnucks and Runs

Arnold Police Department supplied the following information for Thursday's crime report. Arrests or charges mentioned in this report do not indicate convictions.

Here are a few of the crimes that occurred  May 12 and 13 in the City of Arnold.

May 13

A man was driving a Chevrolet Blazer and ran into a retaining wall on the parking lot at Schnucks. The driver ran way but witnesses wrote down the car's license plate.   

May 12

A 58 year old man was  was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated after he was  stopped for a traffic violation. He refused to submit to a breath test and was booked but later released to a sober driver.

A 23 year old Imperial woman was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated after being involved in a single vehicle accident. She later took a breath test and had a .111 percent BAC.  She was booked, and was released to a sober driver.

A Barnhart couple was stopped as they left the Festus Walmart to be questioned for stealing. The pair was charged with theft, and endangering the welfare of a child because their 4 year old son was with them. The man was also charged with second-degree trespassing and drug possession.
