Repairman Fails At Fixing Brakes, Crashes Car

Arnold Police Department supplied the following information for Friday's crime report. Arrests or charges mentioned in this report do not indicate convictions.

Here are a few of the crimes that occurred  May 14 and 15 in the City of Arnold.

May 15

A person reported someone had taken soe items from her unlocked vehicle. Those items include a Garman brand Global Positioning System, and headphones valued at $350.00 in Savannah Court.

A Cedar Hill man was arrested for DWI after he was stopped for a traffic violation near I-55 and Richardson Rd. He later submitted to a breath test resulting in a .161 percent BAC.  He was booked, then was released to a sober driver. DWI Occ: I-55 / Richardson Rd.

May 14

A subject working on repairing vehicle brakes test drove it, at which time the brakes failed and he rear-ended a parked vehicle. He then reversed directions and drove into the building at Crosswinds causing substantial damage.  The building was condemned pending repairs.
