Woman Arrested for Punching Bar Employee in The Face

Assaults, thefts and burglaries top the list crimes in Arnold during the last week of May.

The following information was provided by the Arnold Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

Saturday, May 28

Assault – A woman was arrested and charged with third-degree assault for punching an employee in the face at Dylan’s Sports Bar and Grill at 675 Jeffco Blvd. The employee was cleaning the bar and said the woman became upset because he had picked up the empty bottles in front of her. The woman also assaulted another person who attempted to assist.

Stealing - An employee at Circle K at 2001 Richardson Road called police and reported that two men had stolen alcohol from the store. Police arrested one man for stealing under $500 and the other for a fugitive warrant in St. Louis County.

Theft – An employee at U-Gas at 3611 West Outer Road reported that a man pumped $87.23 in gas into a white Chevrolet van and left without paying.

Thursday, May 26

Theft – A man reported that someone had stolen $2,700.00 in tools and $2,790.00 in jewelry from his unlocked vehicle, which was parked on Cromwell.

Theft - The owner of two vending machines located at Arnold Urgent Care at 3619 Richardson Road reported that someone had opened both machines and stole $350.

Stealing - Store security at Target on 3849 Vogel Road reported that a woman stole various items valued at $443.85 and while fleeing the area, dropped both her purse and the stolen DVDs. Police have identified the woman.

Stealing - Police arrested two women for stealing $326.34 in merchandise from Walmart at 2201 Michigan Ave. Store security had apprehended the woman.

Tuesday, May 24

Burglary - An employee at ITT Tech at 1930 Meyer Drury Lane reported that someone shattered a window at the business with a landscaping block to enter the building. The crime occurred on May 23.

Burglary - A woman reported that someone broke out the window panes at her home off Telegraph Road and stole two laptop computers, jewelry, a camera and cash.

Stealing - Store security at Kohl’s at 2150 Michigan Ave. stopped an 18-year-old woman and a 15-year-old teen for stealing $164 in merchandise.  The woman was issued a summons and released at scene and the teen was released to her father.

Monday, May 23

Theft – An employee at U-Gas on 3611 West Outer Road reported that a man drove off in a green Buick LeSabre without paying for $54.14 in gas. Police say the same vehicle apparently was involved in a similar occurrence on May 16. 

Theft – An employee at Fantastic Sams at 157 Arnold Crossroads reported that a woman had stolen her purse from her workstation. The purse contained $725 in cash and other valuables. 

Wednesday, May 20

Assault, Unlawful use of a weapon, Armed Criminal Action - Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies charged two people with unlawful use of a weapon, assault, and armed action after an argument in the 2100 block of Lightening Drive. After arriving at the scene, the deputy learned that three people were arguing. One person showed two fillet knives to the victim, the deputy’s report stated. Minutes later another person pointed a .45 caliber handgun at the person holding the knives and told him to drop them. The person then fired the gun at the person holding the knives. Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested the two people carrying weapons.
