Woman Surprises Burglar in Her Arnold Home, Man Flees Scene

Sunday, Oct. 21

Several tools were reported missing from unlocked tool boxes on a 2002 F-350 parked on Quartz Lane in Imperial. All the tools were engraved with MMK or MK.

  • A man crawled through a basement door window he broke on Lonedell Road in Arnold when the homeowner was home. The victim said she heard someone ringing her doorbell and didn't answer it. She then heard a noise and thought that it was the weather. When she heard another noise, she looked out her kitchen window to find her chainlink fence gate open and thought someone was in her home. She opened the door at the top of the steps and found a tall, thin man with dark curly hair wearing a gray shirt standing at the top of her steps. He said, "She's home," and ran down the stairs back out the basement door.  
  • A small black fire safe containing $2,000, a $275 money order and two containers of change were reported stolen from a home at Highland House Villas in Arnold. The items were valued at $2,455. 

Wednesday, Oct. 24

  • A Sony Bravia 40-inch LCD flatscreen television, a Magnavox DVD player and an Apple IPod 8 was stolen from an apartment in the Elmwood Parkway Apartment complex in Arnold. The stolen itens were valued at $750. Entry was gained through a locked front door.
  • Police responded to a domestic disturbance on Geranium Drive in Imperial. A window air conditioning unit was reported damaged or stolen in the incident. An investigation revealed that the suspect forced entry through a mobile home window and entered the home through the course of a domestic dispute with his wife that was ongoing. Charges were applied for accordingly.
