Peach Festival Features Pie Contest, Live Music and Kids Entertainment

It's all part of the entertainment planned during the Arnold Farmers Market this Saturday.

Do you bake the best peach pie? Now is your chance to prove it.

A pie contest is planned as part of the Peach Festival in Arnold on Saturday. Teresa Kohut from the Arnold Parks and Recreation Department wrote all about the upcoming event on Patch.

To participate in the contest, simply bring your baked-from-scratch peach pie to the Arnold Farmers Market grounds between 9 and 9:30 a.m. Pies may contain peaches and any additional digestible ingredients, notes a flier from the event, but they also must contain crust and filling (and no pies requiring refrigeration are allowed).

Judging is set to begin at 10 a.m. All entries will receive a meal coupon to Culver's, but the top three finishers will receive the following prizes:

  • First place: $50 and a dinner for two at Terrazza Grill
  • Second place: $25 and dinner for two at Texas Roadhouse
  • Third place: $15 and dinner for two at Ponderosa Steakhouse
Other activities are scheduled for the day too. The People's Americana Band will be providing live music, while kids can enjoy a bounce house, face-painting and a scavenger hunt.

The fun begins at 8 a.m. at Arnold City Park and runs until noon.
